Hello! My name is Zephyr. I’m a mom to a beautiful 15-month old baby boy. I’m also a semi-finalist of Masterchef Singapore Season 2, and I co-run a Peranakan restaurant, Rumah Bebe.
My Masterchef journey has been a truly memorable and unforgettable journey for me, filled with both high and low points which I will always cherish. It’s been a journey of self-discovery and one where I’ve been pushed beyond my comfort zone in order to grow. I am grateful to have had this experience that I can now share with my son, whom I hope to inspire.
It's never easy being a mom trying to juggle a job with a family life, what more the pressure and hours at the #masterchefsg kitchen. It is hard managing the demands of a full-time job and being a good mother to my son. Quite often, I felt guilty leaving him behind, hoping to see him as soon as I was done with work. I’m still pretty amazed at how I took every chance and ounce of energy to pursue my passion and goals.
To all the mamas out there, always remember that you’re stronger and braver than what you think you really are. You can be an amazing mother and still follow your dreams. don't be afraid to be judged. Set your goals right and chase them into the sun. You deserve it, and at the end of the day, your happiness is the best reward!
